New opportunities are exciting, especially when they come as a result of your hard work over a long period of time. In the space between closing a difficult project, and taking on a new one, there is a unique sort of clarity, where you can exhale, take a pause, and feel proud of all that you’ve accomplished, while also feeling inspired to take the next step. You’ve put in the work, and now, you’re able to enjoy the moment; to shine in the spotlight.
While asking questions can feel like exposing your own ignorance, the practice of asking questions demonstrates your understanding and curiosity of a given subject. It shows that you’re actively thinking through a question or situation, and that you are committed and engaged in finding a solution.
Think about all the different aspects in our life where we spend time and energy. Relationships, exercise, entertainment, and learning come to mind. Maybe you love to shop or you’re a creative at heart who loves to paint? If you had to narrow down your list of activities to focus on the ones that truly bring you joy, what would they be?
Natural ability can open doors, but there is no shortcut for handwork, and no tool as effective as the right mindset.
